POD pricing
POD T-Shirt Pricing Example
A POD t-shirt price needs to cover provider base cost, shipping, marketplace fees, payment processing, ads, and profit. This example shows how to think through the numbers before publishing.
Calculate t-shirt profitStart with customer revenue
If the shirt sells for $24.99 and the buyer pays $3.99 shipping, customer-paid revenue is $28.98. That number is the starting point, not the profit.
Subtract POD and selling costs
Next subtract the shirt base cost, provider shipping, marketplace fee, payment processing, ad cost, and returns allowance. The remaining amount is the estimated order profit.
Test higher and lower prices
Run the same shirt at $22.99, $24.99, and $29.99. A small price change can make a big difference when your costs and fees are fixed.
Quick checklist
- Customer revenue is not profit.
- Include provider shipping.
- Test several prices before publishing.
